Fort Wayne Museum of Art American Art Initiative Capital Campaign Receives Gift From Steel Dynamics Foundation, Inc.
With the expansion and renovation of the building well underway, The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to announce a $150,000 gift from Steel Dynamics Foundation, Inc. The gift brings the Museum’s American Art Initiative Capital Campaign just over 90% of its goal of $7.5 million. “Success of the project would not have been possible without the many generous donors in the community such as the Steel Dynamics Foundation, Inc.” said Executive Director Charles A. Shepard III.
Currently under construction are the Museum’s new auditorium and gallery spaces. After completion, the project will move to the existing footprint to make changes to the main gallery, museum shop and atrium. Completion is expected by the early 2010 with plans for a grand re-opening in the spring of 2010.
