Additional Opportunities
From time to time the FWMoA distributes news and artist opportunities we receive from other institution. We are quite selective in what we distribute, and every precaution is taken to pass on the highest quality of information. However, the FWMoA is not affiliated with or responsible for the events. If you have a question about the opportunities listed, please use the contact info provided.
Taste of the Arts
Art Marketplace/Sale Information
Sign-up and get set for the Taste of the Arts festival Art Marketplace, August 28, 2010 from 12 – 6 p.m. The Taste of the Arts festival is a celebration of cultural inspiration designed to promote our wide variety of arts organizations and local restaurants. Admission to the festival is free. The festival will host stages for arts performances, booths for arts organizations to have hands-on activities and to distribute their fall season schedules and a variety of food vendors. A marketplace will feature local art for sale. Through sponsorships and food sales, this event is a fundraiser for an arts education grant program for schools.
The 2009 festival rekindled the excitement of past fine arts festivals and drew thousands to the heart of Fort Wayne and we are sure it will grow. Vendors at the 2009 festival reported good sales at this event. The Taste of the Arts committee would like to offer you the opportunity to participate. Here are some details for selling your artwork:
Set-up on festival day begins at 8 a.m. on the Arts United Center Plaza, 303 E. Main Street.
Vendors are asked to provide their own tent (if you want one) and/or display tables.
As a fundraiser, we are asking artists to contribute a $50 participation fee.
Artists keep all their proceeds from their event sales.
Electricity is available.
The number of booths is limited, artist selection will be determined by an Arts United committee to ensure quality of fine artworks and diversity in mediums.
Please return this form with a CD showing samples of your work to:
