David and Peter Turnley: McClellan Street

Fort Wayne natives David and Peter Turnley are internationally renowned photojournalists whose work has been featured on the covers and in the pages of the most esteemed news magazines and newspapers. They have created some of the most memorable images of the 20th and 21st centuries and have received numerous honors including a Pulitzer Prize for photography awarded to David Turnley in 1990. Their work has been subject of photography catalogues and exhibitions.

John Buck: Iconography

Over the past four decades, John Buck has created a large and important body of work comprised of woodblock prints and rubbings, sculpture, and three-dimensional wood panels. Tough-minded and visually complex, Buck’s art is saturated with richness of images, icons, symbols, motifs, and an intense lyrical and authentic evocation of both the natural and social worlds.

Children’s Book Illustrations
by Jeanne Rorex Bridges
February 7 – April 19, 2009
This exhibition features the original paintings by Jeanne Rorex Bridges for the children’s book, Crossing Bok Chitto: A Choctaw Tale of Friendship and Freedom written by Tim Tingle. Rorex Bridges is an award winning artist of Cherokee ancestry. For several years, she has incorporated paintings depicting the shared history of Southeastern Indians and African Americans with her Native American work. Crossing Bok Chitto is her first time illustrating a children’s book.
