Fort Wayne Derby Girls Announce Additional
Partnerships for “Bust A Move” Fundraiser
Thursday, October 2, 2008
The charity driven Fort Wayne Derby Girls are proud to announce that they are partnering with Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Don Hall’s Family of Restaurants and the Steffen Group to host “Bust A Move,” an event that will raise funds for services and supplies for women with breast cancer in Fort Wayne.
For “Bust a Move,” local artists and women have volunteered their talents and their bodies to create unique, inspiring cast representations of the female bust and the emotions associated with breast cancer. Local artists have modified the casts, using various artistic mediums. Casts will be mounted on powder-coated metal stands and auctioned off for charity on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
“Bust A Move” will be an event to remember, featuring hors d’oeurves and cocktails provided by Don Hall’s, readings, live music, and a silent and live auction hosted by the Steffen Group. Through this event, the Fort Wayne Derby Girls hope to raise over $10,000 for Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
Get a sneak peak of the Busts at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art during the annual Trolley Tour, which takes place on September 18. The Fort Wayne Derby Girls will have a display set up and will be there to answer questions about the fundraiser. The Fort Wayne Derby Girls will also have a booth during the Rockin’ Docs Event at Headwater’s Park on September 12th and 13th to highlight the Bust A Move Event and premier some of the Busts.

About Don Hall’s Family of Restaurants
The Hall’s tradition of quality, service and value began in 1946 with a small drive-in restaurant on Bluffton Road. With expansion over the decades to all corners of Fort Wayne and beyond, we’re quite different than we were in 1946. However, one important feature remains true to Don Hall’s original plan…that we work tirelessly to earn your business day in and day out. This is our guiding principle and what we strive for every day.
